My sister is due in a couple weeks and we are all so excited. Especially since Angelo is finally going to have a boy cousin!

We headed out for a quick session over the Thanksgiving weekend (much to my brother-in-law's delight).

Definitely a new favourite....

You can totally tell you guys are sisters! She is absolutely gorgeous and glowing!! I love the one of them sitting in the grass and the one of them standing on the beach. I can hardly wait to see all the newborn photos. That's going to be one very photographed baby!!

Wow, Jenn. These photos are stunning! She is just glowing and I can definitely tell that you are sisters - this must be the one who got married in Mexico (I think?).

Amazing color, composition and focus! Wow!

Hi Jenn. Lydia here from FrancyPants. I just wanted to take a look at your blog :) I really like these maternity shots, especially the last one in front of the lake. What an awesome location, beautiful couple, and great shots!

You've requested it and now you're getting it. I am pleased to now include a $150 maternity session add-on option to my newborn sessions.

I've always loved doing maternity sessions but, up until now, they've only been available as a stand-alone option. Having the maternity session available as an add-on just makes things a little easier and also allows clients who hadn't considered doing a maternity session the option to add some maternity images into a newborn photography session album.

Typically, a client who does an add-on maternity session will have their pre-session consultation around 34 weeks, a maternity photography session at 36 to 37 weeks, a newborn photography session when your baby is 5 to 7 days old and an ordering session 3 weeks following that. I love that we'll get to know each other so well during these four meetings. The best part is that I get to witness your family growing to include it's newest member.

Watch for another post in the next couple weeks about why I consider a maternity session so important. In the meantime, to celebrate my new maternity photography session option, book your newborn session by Friday April 3rd and receive an add-on maternity session for free. Although we can't book the exact date for your newborn photography session, I still hold a space for you in the month you're due.

I couldn't believe how many gorgeous locations we were able to find during this session. I don't always know what I'm going to have to work with when I arrive on location but I could have shot for days in this small two block area in the middle of Vancouver.
picot_july262008_0052.jpg This old green VW van made the perfect backdrop.

picot_july262008_0139.jpg And of course the purple wall..... I spotted this wall at the very beginning of our session. We had some other shots in mind first but I was crossing my fingers that we'd make it back by the end of our session. Thankfully we made it just in time - after five minutes of getting some amazing shots, the rain started. Perfect timing!
